ShelfShine is built so your photos never leave your device. This page explains the small amount of data we do handle.

Your photos

Background removal, resizing and export all run inside your browser. Your images are not uploaded to our servers and we cannot see them.

Stored on your device

Your browser's local storage keeps your language choice, how many free photos you used today, and, if you activate Pro, your license key and device activation id. Clearing your browser data removes them.

License checks

When you activate Pro, the app sends your license key to our server, which forwards it to Lemon Squeezy to confirm it is valid. We repeat this check about once a day. We do not keep a separate database of keys.

Payments

Lemon Squeezy, our Merchant of Record, processes your payment and receives your name, email address and billing details under its own privacy policy. We receive order details such as your email address so we can provide support.

Hosting

The site is hosted on Cloudflare, which may log standard request data such as IP address and browser type for security and reliability.

Cookies and tracking

We do not use advertising cookies or third-party tracking. Fonts are loaded from Google Fonts and two code libraries from public CDNs, which receive standard request data when your browser downloads them.

Your rights

You can ask us what personal data we hold about you, or ask us to delete it, by emailing us.
